FAQ

Q: Where is this product made?

A: America! The SliderG6 is 100% made in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Q: What are the dimensions of the Slider base?

A: 29 1/2" L x 8 1/2" W x 7/8" H

Q: How much does the system weigh?

A: 5 1/2 lbs total (base 4 lbs, plastic slider 1 1/2 lbs). These aluminum versions are 1/3 of the weight of our original steel version. It's a huge improvement!

Q: What are the dimensions of the front weldment?

A: Measuring from the bottom, the weldment extends down 1 7/8". The first set of holes are 7/8" to the center, and the second set of holes are 1 3/8" to the center.

Q: Can the front weldment handle a radiused bench seat?

A: Yes. There are two sets of screw holes to choose from to best fit your attachment needs. We added a little length to the front weldment to better accommodate radiused benches.

Q: What size Slider base do I need?

A: Currently we are offering one size (29.5"). Eventually we will offer a longer version (39.5") and possibly a shorter version. The bench should be wide enough to allow about 12" from the end of the Slider base to your boat's gunwale. This allows the user to slide the seat out for removal. Whenever we mount a Slider base, we put it in place and make sure the seat has enough room to be removed before screwing the base in place.

Q: What is included with the Slider Seat System?

A: The powder coated aluminum base, the plastic slider, 11 stainless steel sheetmetal screws and star washers to attach the Slider base to your bench, two quick release pins, and four stainless steel bolts/washers/locknuts to attach your aftermarket swivel to the plastic slider. It even comes packaged in recycled newspapers from Mike's neighbor in order to keep costs down!

Q: What if I break the plastic slider? Is there a warranty on the SliderG6?

A: You can't break the plastic. And we will back our product as long as we are in business!

Q: Can I paint the Slider base?

A: Yes! The Tuff Black powder coating is an excellent base for painting a different color or camo pattern. Use a matte finish rather than a glossy one - the glossy surface is too slippery.

Q: What swivel will work?

A: Any standard swivel such as the Wise WD10. Basically, the plastic slider is made to accept industry standard hole placements.

Q: Are there dealers I can buy from?

A: We sell directly to the customer. With no middleman, we are able to to pass on the savings to you.

Q: Do you ship to Canada? Do you ship overseas?

A: Sure. It's kind of expensive (but worth it).

Q: Will I ever see boats with Sliders on them in my state (or country)?

A: Chances are good. We have customers in 48 states, as well as Canada, Ireland, and Australia. Not bad for a little shoestring company! But let's face it - these Sliders are AWESOME!

Q: If I contact Slider Seat Systems, who is answering my email?

A: You will be hearing from either Mike or Josh. We look forward to your business!
