About Us

Welcome to Slider Seat Systems. My name is Mike, and I am a fifth grade teacher by trade who started SliderG5.com with my friend and fellow teacher, Brian in 2011. Our journey began with a passion for fishing and a commitment to enhancing the jon and utility boat user's experience. At the heart of our success was the groundbreaking SliderG5 sliding seat, a product we invented that not only met, but exceeded expectations in comfort, functionality, and performance for fishing enthusiasts. 

Ten years later, our manufacturer of the Slider bases lost his battle with brain cancer, and at this time Brian decided to leave the teaching profession as well as our small SliderG5 business to start a construction company. 

With the business in hiatus, it was clear I needed to get up and running again, based on the number of people contacting me wanting to purchase Sliders. Fast forward to the summer of 2023 when I brought my friend Josh on board, an officer in the U.S. Navy and engineer with a degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Together, we found a new manufacturer who was willing to help us make improvements to the SliderG5.

We are proud to introduce our latest innovation – the Slider Seat System. This new and improved model represents the next chapter in our commitment to enhancing the fishing experience. The SliderG6 is designed to elevate your fishing experience with improved durability, weight reduction, and uncompromising quality.
